27-year old former Gossip Girl star and the face of Gucci Premiere perfume, Blake Lively, took to her lifestyle website, Preserve, to reveal her pregnancy.
The actress, who has been married to her former Green Lantern co-star Ryan Reynolds for two years, shared a rather intimate picture of her growing bump—shot by her brother, Eric—in a post dedicated to family that read:
“Preserve at its core is about family. Family is the single word our founder, Blake, built this home on. With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all—to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of family.”
It is the first child for the genetically blessed couple, who has made no secret of a desire to start a big family (both actors come from rather large clans: Reynolds has three siblings, while Lively has four). Of her husband’s paternal abilities, Lively told American Vogue this August: “He’s going to be a great father and leader and patriarch—he’s so meant to be all of those things.”
