To help share the news of the good deeds done at the hands of key fashion industry players, during the month of Ramadan, Style.com/Arabia launches the “Good” Goods series.
Designer, Stella McCartney, has one of the loudest voices when it comes to creating fashion free of animal skins. But her latest range of hand-made, faux-python tote bags in collaboration with the International Trade Centre’s Ethical Fashion Initiative, goes beyond helping save the skins of exotic snakes. The project aims to generate economic independence for participating artisans by engaging people in the most disadvantaged communities in Kenya. From printing to stitching, 160 people were involved in making the totes which are now available for purchase exclusively at Stella McCartney’s Dubai Mall boutique.
