One of Hollywood’s (previously) most eligible bachelors, 53-year-old George Clooney, and his Lebanese fiancée, Amal Alamuddin, exchanged vows yesterday in Venice, Italy.
The star-studded ceremony, which was officiated by close friend and ex-mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni, took place at the seven-star Aman Canal Grande Hotel with the who’s who of the entertainment industry in attendance.
The high profile guest list included Anna Wintour, who took a short break from attending Paris Fashion Week; actresses Emily Blunt and Cate Blanchett; U2 singer, Bono; and close friends Matt Damon and Rande Gerber, along with his wife Cindy Crawford.
Clooney wore Armani but there’s no news yet on the bride’s outfit (though we did glimpse a garment bag by Saudi Arabian couturier Ashi). If the recent media frenzy regarding Angelina Jolie’s wedding dress is any indication, we expect quite a stir on social media once the images are released.
