The fashion industry was recently humming with rumors around Peter Copping and Guillaume Carven’s next moves, which all turned out to be true.

Following the announcement of Peter Copping’s departure from the house of Nina Ricci, Carven’s former artistic director Guillaume Henri has been appointed as the Parisian brand’s new Creative Director.

Ralph Toledano, President of the fashion division at Puig (which owns Nina Ricci), confirmed the news, stating: “We are welcoming Guillaume Henri at Nina Ricci with tremendous delight and great ambitions for the brand. In addition to being an outstanding talent, Guillaume has the characteristics of a major designer: artistic vision, intuition, intelligence, charisma and curiosity, and a remarkable ability to attract and gather the best.”

The 35 year-old Henri, who stayed with Carven for five years, was highly praised during his tenure for bringing a new creative lease to the late couture house. The French designer is set to start his new role on January 5, 2015 and is expected to showcase his first collection during Paris Fashion Week’s Fall 2015 season.
