If you’re wondering why members of Level Shoe District’s dream team, including Chalhoub Group’s Fashion Concept General Manager Rania Masri El Khatib, head buyer Alberto Oliveros, and buyer Mahmoud Sidani are popping up on Instagram snapped next to Sarah Jessica Parker a few days ahead of her arrival in Dubai—it’s because they were in New York City last night to pick up the Footwear News Achievement Awards 2014 “Retailer of the Year.” Masri El Khatib wore a black Bambah lace dress to the high-profile event.
Other winners included Nicole Richie who scooped up “Influencer of the Year” and Sarah Jessica Parker who took home “Launch of the Year” for her eponymous shoe line. “Brand of the Year” went to Vans while the “Emerging Designer” award went to Alessandra Lanvin of Aperlai.
The Footwear News Achievement Awards highlight the best of the global footwear business across various categories.
