In a bid to close the gap between runway shows and collections hitting stores, a number of fashion houses are turning to the “see now, buy now” retail strategy. In light of this, Prada unveiled two new handbags during Milan Fashion week Fall 2016 that have since become available for purchase sooner than anticipated. Style.com/Arabia has a first look at the Prada “see now, buy now” Pionnière and Cahier bags that will be available at the Prada store in the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, from April 15th.
The Pionnière bag draws inspiration from a hunter’s game bag; distinct for its round-edge silhouette and wide straps that feature brass stud details. Meanwhile, the Cahier shoulder bag is reminiscent of a buckled, antique hardcover, complete with bronze-accented protective corners, and a color contrasting flap that interprets the spine of a book.
While the collection was made available in Milan, New York, and Paris following its catwalk reveal, the Dubai debut means that you won’t have to cross borders to stay a season ahead of your peers.
Prada’s “see now, buy now” Cahier and Pionnière bags will be exclusively available at the Prada boutique in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates, from April 15th.
