Emerging designers often talk about the struggles of being picked up by regional buyers. Today, Galeries Lafayette will help shine a light at the end of the tunnel by launching a month-long pop-up shop to host seven Fashion Forward designers. “In Galeries Lafayette, we support regional and upcoming fashion designers and new talents. It is very important for them to be considered and represented within our store,” said Pascal Abchee, the general manager of Galeries Lafayette, The Dubai Mall.
The regional brands to showcase their Fall 2015 collections at the inaugural Fashion Forward pop-up include the Lebanese label Aiisha Ramadan; Saudi brand Arwa Al Banawi, which will present bold print suits; Dubai label Bouguessa, featuring contemporary abayas; Saudi designer Daneh; Lebanese label Lama Jouni; Lebanese unisex brand and Starch Foundation alumnus, La Terre Est Folle; and the minimalist label from the Moroccan-born Said Mahrouf.
The pop-up will be held throughout October at the Galeries Lafayette, The Dubai Mall.
