Ingie Paris, the luxury womenswear brand founded by CEO and Managing Director of the Etoile Group, Ingie Chalhoub, will be included on the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear, scheduled to take place from March 1st until March 9th, 2016. Ingie Chalhoub revealed the news of the unanimous decision on behalf of the Chambre Syndicale’s members to Style.com/Arabia’s Managing Editor, Caterina Minthe, at the designer’s showroom off the Champs-Élysées, Paris. Chalhoub also informed that the upscale Parisian department store Le Bon Marché and luxury e-commerce retailer Luisaviroma.com will soon stock Ingie Paris, starting with the Spring 2016 collection.

Governed by The Fédération Française de la Couture, du Prêt-à-Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode under The Chambre Syndicale du Prêt-à-Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode—the trade association, which includes French and non-French Haute Couture Houses and Ready-to-Wear labels—marks a turning point for Chalhoub’s brand and represents another upward shift for the regional industry as a whole. The Fédération organizes the official Paris Fashion Week show schedules and works closely with press and buyers, which facilitates brands to grow and gain maximum exposure. Come March, Ingie Paris will share the schedule with other Chambre Syndicale members such as Chloé, Dior, and Givenchy.

What started as a ready-to-wear capsule collection in 2009, Ingie Paris has evolved from producing eveningwear pieces to include a range of cocktail dresses, daywear separates, and accessories. The first Ingie Paris flagship store opened in Kuwait in 2013 at The Avenues mall and regional selling points include Chalhoub’s multi-brand concept store Etoile La Boutique, Saks Fifth Avenue across GCC locations, and Harvey Nichols Riyadh.

A trailblazer and pioneer in the region’s fashion industry, Ingie Chalhoub’s successful career spans just over three decades, and started with her launch of the first Chanel boutique in the Middle East in 1983. The award-winning entrepreneur’s accolades also include licensing and opening international luxury fashion houses such as Valentino, Ralph Lauren, and Tod’s across the GCC and Lebanon under her company Etoile Group; launching her multi-brand boutique Etoile La Boutique; and establishing her own fashion line, Ingie Paris.
