On December 14th, former Desperate Housewives actress, Eva Longoria, will be the honorary chair of the first Middle Eastern edition of the Global Gift Gala, a charity event held at the Supperclub Dubai at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray luxury resort.
Initiated by the charity initiative, the Global Gift Foundation, the event has teamed up with the Noor Dubai Foundation to raise money in the UAE to support women and children in need, as well as the foundation’s own project, the Alejandro Cavit Orphanage.
“We have had phenomenal success with our galas around the world and really hope to build on this with the support and generosity from everyone here, all of whom have been so welcoming,” explained Longoria in an official statement.
The Global Gift Gala will feature a red carpet ceremony, cocktail, and dinner reception, next to a live auction of luxury goods. As of today, the foundation has been able to raise a total of US $1.7 million, and aims for annual fundraising upwards of US $3 million.
