Giorgio Armani’s empire is one of the few that have managed to maintain several commercial viable diffusion lines. Emporio Armani is based on trends so it should come as no surprise that he decided to highlight our social media obsession by featuring t-shirts with an emoji print. Cartoon-like floral prints were also part of the Emporio Armani Spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. But the overall story was the blend of sportswear (shorts, tennis skirts) and office wear in the form of jackets, blazers, and prim coats. The palette featured several variations of gray, rose, and orange.

Designer: Giorgio Armani
Year Established: 1981
Spring 2016 Inspiration: The sportswoman meets office hours.
Star Pieces: The striped, candy cane coat.
The Middle Eastern Sale: There were plenty of shorts for those seeking an alternative to skirts come spring.
Drawbacks: The orange, offered in several hues, came across as jarring and many of the silhouettes felt frumpy.
