Elie Saab’s Back To School

Dr. Joseph G. Jabbra, Frances Corner OBE, and Elie Saab,

It’s a new trinity: Elie Saab has partnered with the Lebanese American University (LAU) and the London College of Fashion (LCF) to create a new fashion design class in Beirut.

The vision behind LAU’s fashion design program was to offer the region’s students an education of the highest possible international standards without having to travel too far from home”, explained Elie Saab, who was named honorary chairman of the new program. “I am pleased with the agreement, which is a major step towards creating a regional hub for talented designers.”

Jabbra, and LCF’s Head of College, Professor Frances Corner OBE, in the presence of Lebanese Ambassador to the United Kingdom, HE Inaam Osseiran, and Elie Saab.

In March 2013, Elie Saab launched the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design in collaboration with LAU, expressing his ambition to create a fashion design program relevant to Arab culture and adapted to international standards. The inaugural class began in early September this year.
