The Fashion Blunders Spotted at the Dubai World Cup 2015

The stakes were high at yesterday’s Dubai World Cup—dubbed the “world’s richest day in horse racing”—and while the action took place on Meydan’s race tracks, most eyes and camera lenses were also fixated on the so-called fashionable folk.

Now, we did offer styling tips to those attending the event but it seems that some style boundaries still need to be drawn indicating what not to wear. Think of this as your “don’ts” list for next year.
Don’t wear impossibly high heels: Many of the ladies gave up early on and were seen either walking barefoot, heels in hand, or swapping their stilettos for comfortable sandals.

Don’t don a bodycon dress: We hoped we’d seen the last of this naughty nineties dress a few years ago, yet at the races, it was going strong. Best leave the too-tight, too-short, too-revealing option at the back of your wardrobe.

Don’t dress matchy-matchy with your hubby: While we approve of a subtle sartorial coordination, the head-to-toe couple matching identical outfit is a no-no in our book.

Don’t wear a bouquet of real flowers on your head. With stems and thorns poking out from all sides, this is a hazard on heels waiting to happen.
