Continuing the celebrations of the iconic wrap dress’ 40th anniversary, Diane Von Fürstenberg’s “Journey of a Dress” exhibition will stop at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates on October 24th for a week.
The exhibition started in January in Los Angeles with a swanky soirée that saw fashion insiders and movie stars rub shoulders tofête the designer.
The Middle East edit of the exhibition will feature a retrospective of 13 vintage and contemporary wrap designs, narrating the story of the timeless dress—one which has come to symbolize independence for generations of women.
“I was 26 when I created the wrap dressand I am thrilled to celebrate it now by bringing the “Journey of a Dress” to Dubai,” said Von Fürstenberg.
Additionally, 11 wrap dress styles from the Spring 2015 collection will go on saleon the opening day of the exhibition. Designed in the brand’s signature bright prints, these special dresses, exclusive to the Middle East, will be available at the Dubai Diane Von Fürstenberg boutique, which is owned and operated by the luxury fashion retailer, Boutique 1 Group.
