Delve into dark lipsticks this fall and opt for shades of anthracite, burgundy, and aubergine to amp up your beauty look. While a rebellious pout doesn’t require a rulebook, there are certain vampy hues that compliment your specific skin tone.
Speaking to Style.com/Arabia, international professional makeup artist for Dior, Ralph Lteif, explained, “Olive skin tones are widely found in our region, and are generally very easy to match with a lipstick, as they are considered a neutral shade.” He added that varying shades of red look best, and suggested that fair-skinned ladies opt for bold, deep colors to avoid looking washed out.
“On brown skin tones, I recommend a deep, plum shade to help highlight the complexion and really make a statement,” he stated. As for those with darker complexions, Lteif revealed that red, berry, and plum shades are naturally flattering. Here, an array of dark lipsticks to shop—there’s one for every skin tone.
