Like many good things, the collaboration between Ciara and Roberto Cavalli began with a night of dancing. “I had a marvelous night dancing with Mr. Cavalli last fall in Dubai, and now my dream of being in one of their campaigns has come true,” Ciara told Style.com of her new role as the brand’s Fall 2015 campaign star. “I am so honored to be the face of the current campaign for Roberto Cavalli,” she continued, adding, “I grew up truly admiring the beautiful collections and dreaming of wearing them. I am excited that also now my friend Peter Dundas will be at the creative helm, and I look forward to his creations.” But before Dundas makes his debut, you can find Ciara working it in a new video for the house, debuting exclusively here, shot by Francesco Carrozzini and styled by Robert Rabensteiner.
Noted fans will remember that this isn’t Ciara’s first foray into fashion. Back in 2009 she became a Givenchy muse to Riccardo Tisci, and more recently she worked with Vogue Italia’s Franca Sozzani on the cover of her newest album, Jackie. “I had always admired fashion, but more so from afar,” Ciara told Style.com in an exclusive interview just last week. In one song hot off her new album she sings, “Margiela, Pucci, Givenchy/All of that fly look good on me/Vaccarello, Jordan, Cavalli/Wanna know what’s next? Just wait on me.” At this point, she’s already worked with two of those designers, so, yeah, what is next, Ciara?
