Claire Waight Keller opened her Chloé Spring 2016 ready-to-wear show with a tracksuit jacket and a floor-length chiffon skirt, which signaled that this season, she would take a stylistic risk—and it paid off. Beyond the tracksuit pairings, the idea here was to showcase the beauty of youth. “Clothes ready for a music festival,” stated the designer, who was born in Glastonbury.

This festival-going muse, who dares to mix high heels or off-the-shoulder chiffon and lace blouses with her tracksuit bottoms, or wear a lace bodysuit under her dungarees, could have walked right off the set of a Danny Boyle movie (Trainspotting, The Beach). While it was hard to see romance in those daring pairings, the pompom-embellished pastel rainbow chiffon dresses and lace and silk camisoles will delight fans of Keller’s ingenuity. The white lace numbers were equally enticing and maintained the house’s signature romance. For the intermediate risk-taker, we suggest the silk dungarees.
