Add to Chanel shopping cart…

Chanel is branching out into the world of online shopping. Bruno Pavlovsky, Chanel’s president of fashion, confirmed the house’s plan to launch e-commerce that could happen as early as next September. “It’s not so much a shift. It’s an evolution to better serve our customers,” Pavlovsky explained, adding, “So it’s more e-service than a pure e-commerce approach.” [WWD]

Hanne Gaby sees shoes…

Model Hanne Gaby Odiele took to Instagram today to provide her followers with a sneak peek of her upcoming shoe collaboration with Matt Bernson. Odiele uploaded a series of Tommy Ton-lensed photos featuring the shoes and her model friends Tilda Lindstam, Charlotte Free, and Xiao Wen Ju, alongside captions stating the collab will be available “very, very soon.” [Instagram]

Julianne Moore lights up…

Sartorially speaking, Julianne Moore is having a great year. The auburn-haired actress had a run of red-carpet hits during awards season, and has continued to turn heads with her outfit choices ever since. Case in point: the light-up heels she wore to Chanel’s Métiers d’Art show last night. [Elle]

Don’t be fooled…

The saying goes, “Don’t believe everything you read,” and there is no better day to enforce that rule than on April 1. The fashion industry has been rife with ridiculous announcements today, all of which can be credited as over-the-top April Fools’ pranks. ASOS advertised a clip-on man bun, and Hunter Boots debuted a pair of rain boots for dogs, while Barneys was overrun with pups and the rapper Pusha. Well played, pranksters. Until next year… [Refinery29]

Jewels by Marion…

Marion Cotillard is the latest celebrity to try her hand at designing. The French actress has signed on to create pieces for fine-jewelry label Chopard. Her collection will include a bracelet and necklace and will be made using ethically sourced gemstones from Australia. [British Vogue]
