Celebrities in Arab Couture on the 2016 Golden Globes Red Carpet

The event to kick off this year’s awards season took place last night in Hollywood on the 2016 Golden Globes red carpet. As with every major award ceremony, the red carpet welcomed a parade of celebrities in stylish evening gowns, including stunning creations by Arab designers. Jenna Dewan Tatum dazzled in a plunging midnight blue, sequin-encrusted Zuhair Murad haute couture gown while Eva Green glided down the carpet in a blush embellished Elie Saab couture number.

Recently engaged Eve Longoria had bridal white on her mind; her Georges Hobeika dress featured a front slit, a cutout embellished bow neckline, and floral embroidery. American Crime actress Regina King donned a custom-made gold sequin gown by Lebanese designer Krikor Jabotian. Meanwhile, Malin Åkerman chose to wear a structured lace, column Reem Acra design for the glittering evening, proving that there’s still some pep in a peplum dress. Downton Abbey actress Joanne Froggatt wore a periwinkle gown, also signed Reem Acra.
