Worthy of a Sheikha: Cartier Brings its Royal High Jewelry Collection to Dubai

Following exhibitions in Paris, New York, and Hong Kong, French fine jewelry house Cartier chose to present its royal high jewelry collection to a distinguished group of guests in Dubai. The two-day event featured décor and entertainment inspired by the Versailles court and was set at the newly opened Four Seasons Hotel.

The festivities launched with a lavish ladies-only gala dinner held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Clients and select members of the press viewed the 300-piece collection inspired by Cartier’s legacy as the jeweler of royals. In fact, Louis-François Cartier (1819-1904) was the first jeweler to travel to the Middle East and introduce pieces to the sheikhs and sheikhas. The second evening welcomed a broader guest list to enjoy a private reception and a show featuring models wearing extraordinary jewels that would make any aspiring modern princess go emerald with envy.
