This week, Cartier launched two new handbag collections at the Dubai Mall, the French luxury brand’s first new bag collections since 2007.
Respectively named after the iconic Jeanne Toussaint (women’s collection), Cartier’s former bag designer and head of jewelry from 1933 to 1970, and founder Louis Cartier (men’s collection), the range of bags combines both traditional craftsmanship and more contemporary functional features.
The statement piece of the women’s collection, which consists of a range of 2 different handbag models in various colorings, is a bi-colored Jeanne Toussaint tote crafted from both crocodile and calf skin leather in a blend of beige tones. It can be customized by selecting three colors of crocodile leather (cream, black, and bordeaux), three stones for the bag clasp, and three different metallic finishes, along with engraved initials. Furthermore, a special edition of the emerald green Jeanne Toussaint chain Bag has been created, crafted from calfskin and adorned with a black lacquered front clasp; only 130 pieces have been produced.
The bags will be available in Cartier boutiques across the UAE beginning today, April 10th. The range for women is between 1,700 Euros (AED/SAR 8,600) and 7,500 Euros (AED/SAR 38,000).
