It’s been less than a month since we first saw Cara Delevingne’s performance in Die Antwoord’s crazy-cool (and just plain crazy) music video for “Ugly Boy.” And yet, the busiest model in the business has somehow found time to make another surprise music video cameo. She stars in “Nothing Came to Me,” a new video from Chance the Rapper’s musical collective The Social Experiment.
The teaser shows Delevingne looking prim and polished in a pale blue dress, shiny curls, and perfect makeup (per usual, not a brow hair out of place). She’s absolutely silent throughout the entire video, but her facial expressions speak volumes. The only sound you hear comes from Donnie Trumpet’s jazz music in the background. The minute-and-a-half clip is mysterious—is it a music video? Is it a film? Is it a teaser for the band’s forthcoming album, Surf?—but regardless of the ambiguity, it still manages to captivate.
