Cara Delevingne, Fashion Editor?

There are multitasking models, and then there’s Cara Delevingne. Over the past several months, the 22-year-old has propelled her runway success into fashion films for Chanel, Hollywood movies, and even a rumored music career. (That’s not even touching on her wax figure or Tumblr stardom, either.) But despite her impressive résumé, the Londoner’s media takeover clearly isn’t complete quite yet.

This morning WWD reported that Delevingne is joining Love as the publication’s newest contributing editor. Sure, we might be used to seeing the model on the cover of the biannual magazine (as well as appearing in its annual online Advent calendar), but this time she’ll be using an entirely different set of skills. Love’s editor in chief and Delevingne’s longtime friend, Katie Grand, handpicked Delevingne to guest-edit the Spring 2015 issue, enlisting her for everything from interviews to consulting on the overall direction. She’s following in the footsteps of fellow model Edie Campbell, who joined Love’s roster of contributors in March 2014.

Grand told WWD that she has “always known that [Delevingne is] an exceptionally bright, sharp, and hilarious young woman. That’s why I was so keen to let her have this chance to exercise her skills as a journalist and writer. And she has proven herself to be a fearless interviewer, never afraid to ask all the questions we want to know the answers to.” Whether it’s taking selfies on the Giles runway or just making funny faces on Instagram, Delevingne has never been short on personality. It only makes sense that she’ll inject some of her signature kookiness into the pages of Love—a high-fashion magazine with a sense of humor—as well.

Although Delevingne is taking a slightly more behind-the-scenes job for Love, don’t worry: You’ll still see her showing off her modeling chops in her contributor’s photo, shot by Sølve Sundsbø and decked out in a look from Givenchy’s Spring 2015 collection. You didn’t think she’d ditch the spotlight entirely, did you?

The Spring 2015 issue of Love debuts February 9.
