Bulgari’s New Roots in the Middle East

TheGalleria_010 re

The Italian high jewelry house Bulgari just announced a new, Dubai-based joint venture with Al Tayer Insignia, building on a franchise relationship of more than 20 years––and it’s a deal that comes right on time for Bulgari’s 130-year anniversary celebrations.

“I am very satisfied to see this 22-year partnership further evolving and allowing Bulgari to develop more aggressive strategies in a key area such as the UAE, where the brand, at present, enjoys a leading position,” explained Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari Group, in an official statement. “Together with ventures already set up in Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, this new agreement will guarantee effective control of distribution across most of the Middle East region, thus confirming our commitment in pursuing brand enhancement and sales growth.”

The high jewelry brand is already represented in the UAE through five selling points, with two stores located in Abu Dhabi (The Avenue at Etihad Towers and The Galleria at Al Maryah Island) and three stores in Dubai (The Mall of the Emirates, The Boulevard at Jumeirah Emirates Towers and The Dubai Mall).
