40 years after launching its popular high-end children’s line, Bonpoint hosted its first fashion show in the pretty garden of the Hotel de Brancas and under a white tarmac to fend off the rain which has poured down on Paris during this week’s Haute Couture shows.
Bonpoint’s Summer 2015 collection whisked us far away on a fashionable escapade across the continents: the clothes celebrated the wilderness of Africa, the folklore of New Mexico, the romance of a dreamy English garden, or the wistful ‘70s era of Jane Birkin’s St Tropez. Wearing block colors accented with neon hues, vintage Liberty prints, pop ginghams, indigo blue denim, crochet tunics, gold leather minis, and grosgrain jacquard dresses, the young models traipsed through a curvy catwalk of pebbles to the delight of fashion spectators that included mothers like Inès de la Fressange and Miroslava Duma.
With such sartorial diversity, Summer 2015 at Bonpoint promises to offer a sweet and chic cultural escapade that will feed the imagination of little girls and boys—and their parents.
