Editors and couture clients from around the world have landed in Paris as Haute Couture Fall 2013 week kicks off today. The Style.com/Arabia editors will be providing live coverage from the runways, presentations, and VIP parties with a special focus on Middle Eastern designers such as Rad Hourani, Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad, Georges Hobeika, Georges Chakra, and Rami Al Ali. Today’s Haute schedule begins with the Versace show followed by Christian Dior, Iris Van Herpen, Alexis Mabille, Rami Al Ali, and Giambattista Valli on Monday. Tuesday will bring Chanel, Stéphane Rolland, and Giorgio Armani Privé, while Wednesday will feature shows by Maison Martin Margiela, Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino, and Viktor & Rolf. Thursday will bring Rad Hourani and Zuhair Murad and the much awaited Christian Lacroix for Schiaparelli tribute. Meanwhile, we will also be covering presentations by luxury jewelry brands such as Bulgari, Boucheron, and Van Cleef & Arpels among others. With China, the Middle East, and Russia the biggest players in the diamond and platinum ring that is Haute Couture, it we look forward to learning how the designers and luxury brands will continue to cater to our region.
