There is no doubt that Beyoncé’s soulful performance moved the 25 million spectators who tuned into the 57th annual Grammy Awards Saturday night. Her rendition of “Take My Hand, Precious Lord” must have meant all that much more to the Dubai-based Filipino designer, Furne One of Amato, when he saw that the superstar singer and multi-Grammy award winner had chosen to wear one of his designs for her performance.

Speaking to Style.com/Arabia, the designer explained that he received an email from Beyoncé’s stylist who saw his latest collection from Fashion Forward 4. “She then chose a few pieces and had them sent to L.A.,” he explained. “Beyoncé is such an icon and being able to dress her is every designer’s dream. Not only did she look amazing in the design, but she also embodies the Amato woman—a woman who is not afraid to defy the rules and dictates of fashion.”

The performing artist chose the below-featured cape without the collar and embellished her look with a Messika Joaillerie silk tie necklace, boasting over 40 carats worth of diamonds. This is Amato’s third collaboration with Beyoncé, having previously dressed her for the opening video for her “Mrs. Carter” tour and book and for her “On the Run” tour.
