Energetic Hues and Wes’ Week on Top

This week, stars brought a much-needed jolt of energy to the red carpet with bright, electric hues. Elle Fanning kicked things off on Saturday in a vivid neon lace Christopher Kane Resort ’15 minidress at a panel for The Boxtrolls during Comic-Con in San Diego. Nicola Peltz, who can seemingly do no sartorial wrong, amped things up in a bright tangerine Prada Fall ’14 halter gown with plunging neckline at Monday night’s premiere of Transformers: Age of Extinction in Tokyo. Later in the week, everyone’s favorite TV bad girl, Taylor Schilling, stepped out in a bold, color-blocked Roland Mouret Pre-Fall ’14 look for a visit to the SiriusXM studios on Thursday in New York.

Wes Gordon, who was recently named a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist, has been steadily making a name for himself on the celebrity circuit. This week he got a nod of approval from a handful of A-listers who opted for designs from his Resort ’15 collection. On Monday, Gwyneth Paltrow chose a mid-length patterned sheath for a screening of Hector and the Search for Happiness in the Hamptons, and Maggie Gyllenhaal donned a sophisticated white number with metallic embroidery down the front for a taping of Good Morning America on Thursday morning. This could be the start of a very successful red-carpet career.

Here, all of this week’s red-carpet highlights.
