Ramadan tents in the region are a popular trend, and this year, the founders of the No.57 concept in Abu Dhabi—Buthaina Al Mazrui and Alamira Noor Bani Hashim—are aiming to offer their own spin to the traditional gatherings. The Emirati entrepreneurs are known for their dinner events, held under the name of The Dinner Club by No.57, which pop up at secret locations. The duo’s second venture, No.FiftySeven Boutique Café, is located in Al Marasy, Abu Dhabi, and is a modern restaurant that offers diners local ingredients in a sophisticated setting.
While transforming their café into a pop-up Ramadan tent, the owners aim to match the festive spirit of these gatherings but with a more bohemian twist. The tent will include a small lounge area and also floor seating (for those who want to play cards into the late hours of the night). Similar to the No.FiftySeven Boutique Café and The Dinner Club by No.57, the décor of the tent will follow a tasteful and minimal theme—you won’t find any lanterns and velvet table runners. The menu will include No.FiftySeven’s popular dishes as well as Ramadan specials that will change daily.
If you’re looking for gift ideas for your iftar hosts, the café has also come up with a No.57 Gift Box which includes the popular Toffee Skillet Cookie Dough, Vimtojito (Vimto Mojito) drink, a mini date cake, a signature No.57 scented candle, and other items. Remember, this is the season to care and share.
The No.57 Tent will be open from iftar until 3am daily. For more info, visit www.no57.co.
