Beauty A Porter

image002 2

The eleven lucky beauty brands selected by Net-A-Porter to kick-off their phased launch this Wednesday have been announced: Chantecaille, Natura Bissé, Aesop, Le Metier de Beauté, 3 LAB, Beauty Works West, Philip B, Joya, Ilia, Sarah Chapman, and James Read.

If your favorite brand isn’t included, don’t fret: the online global luxury fashion destination will continue to add makeup, hair and skin products, as well as nail varnish and fragrance from both niche and established labels each week.

While beauty has long been featured in Net-A-Porter’s online magazine, it has slowly been taking a more prominent place with dedicated features and even regular video columnists.

“The impulse to shop from the page applies to beauty as it does to fashion and now our customers can do both at one destination,” stated Alison Loehnis, Net-A-Porter Managing Director. While some might wonder why Beauty hasn’t been introduced as a category sooner, for the past year, staff have attended master classes hosted by the beauty brands to properly prep them in order to provide the same level of service dedicated Net-A-Porter shoppers have grown accustomed to: multi-lingual customer care, 24 hours a day along with the usual speedy deliveries, luxurious packaging, and return services.
