After a successful jewelry collaboration between Egyptian jewelry designer Azza Fahmy and British designer Matthew Williamson last season, the stars have aligned once again. The Azza Fahmy 2015 fine jewelry capsule collection, which was first seen during Matthew Williamson’s Fall 2015 runway show at London Fashion Week, has been designed by Fahmy’s daughter, Amina Ghali (the brand’s head of design).
“I was particularly struck by the idea of the universe and wanted to create a modern concept that combined a number of symbolic elements that brought together life and eternity,” said Ghail about her designs. “Our inspiration and approach to this collection is similar to that of Matthew’s for Fall 2015.” The cosmos-themed jewelry collection features clustered stars, filigree motifs on crescent moons, and “Key of Life” pendants in 18-carat gold and sterling silver combinations adorned with multi-stone arrangements. The 18-piece collection, comprising necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets, is available exclusively at Bloomingdale’s Dubai.
