Aziz Humaid

Saudi Arabia

Riyadh-based designer Aziz Humaid didn’t originally set out to become a fashion designer; after studying graphic design and painting at the Chicago Art Institute, he returned to Saudi Arabia to gain some experience in the business of fashion. According to Humaid, who comes from a scientific family, becoming a designer was a personal evolution.

He worked with the Alshaya Group as a Merchandising Manager before launching his eponymous brand in 2013. The designer showcased his debut collection at Fashion Forward, making a mark with his strong tailoring and minimalistic designs. Following his debut success, he was invited to participate in various international opportunities, such as Style Fashion Week, and was nominated for the Elle Award Dubai and International Design Award. Aziz Humaid aims to break the preconceived notions about fashion emerging from Saudi Arabia by sticking to strong silhouettes and asymmetrical lines.
