Video: How to Wear the Burberry Trench, the Middle Eastern Way
When you think of Burberry, the first thing that probably comes to mind is its iconic trench coat. Even though the classic coat has been part of the British heritage luxury brand for over a century, it continues to evolve (we still remember those glam metallic trenches from Spring 2013). Today, as part of its ongoing Art of the Trench digital campaign which was launched in 2009, Burberry is shining a light on some of the Middle East’s inspiring personalities in a video featuring them wearing the Burberry trench. The 30 individuals come from different industries, including music, art, film, fashion, sport, and food.
Shot in multiple locations across the Gulf as well London and Los Angeles, the lineup includes fashion consultant and Style.com/Arabia Voices contributor Raya Al Khalifa; Emirati entrepreneurs and founders of The Dinner Club by No.57, Alamira Noor Bani Hashim and Buthaina Al Mazrui; Saudi film producer Haifaa Al Mansour; Kuwaiti art patron Sheikha Lulu Al Sabah; Los Angeles-based Palestinian style influencers Sama and Haya Abu Khadra; Emirati animator Mohammed Saeed Harib; Bahraini Dana Al Khalifafrom The Overdressed; Egyptian/Italian model Elisa Sednaoui; and the first Saudi woman and youngest Arab to climb Mount Everest, Raha Moharrak.
Since its launch, the Art of the Trench campaign has traveled around the globe, including Brazil, Hong Kong, India, and Chicago. Watch the video above to see our homegrown creatives working their magic.
