Art Dubai will celebrate its ninth edition from March 18-21, 2015, while the fourth edition of Design Days Dubai will be held from March 16-20, 2015. Past editions of these fairs have featured a roster of international galleries and have contributed to develop the regional cultural scene through artist residencies, curated exhibitions, installations, workshops, and panel talks, all the while establishing Dubai as the Middle East’s meeting place for art and design.
“Art Dubai has carved out a unique place for itself in an increasingly crowded art world calendar and Spring 2015 will be a particular time of celebration, given the strength of the programming at the fair and throughout the UAE and beyond,” said Antonia Carver, Fair Director of Art Dubai, in an official statement.
Building on the success of past editions, both fairs continue to aim high and have good reason to do so: over 12,000 visitors attended Design Days Dubai’s 3rd edition, which showcased 40 exhibitors from 20 countries, while Art Dubai’s 8th edition hosted more than 25,000 visitors, with 85 galleries from 34 countries, 70 museum groups, and in total, more than 400 curators and institutional representatives.
The 2015 editions of Art Dubai and Design Days Dubai will also take place alongside the 12th edition of the Sharjah Biennial and the city’s annual Sikka Art Fair.
