German model Anna Ewers has been selected as Models.com’s Model of the Year 2015. The annual poll voted by top industry professionals ranked the 22-year-old beauty who started her modeling career as Alexander Wang’s muse in the top position. The other thirteen nominees included Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss. Since walking her first runway show for Balenciaga Fall 2013, Ewers has graced catwalks for Balmain, Chanel, and Versace as well as fronted campaigns for brands such as Prada, Marc Jacobs, and Moschino.
The runner up in the industry vote went to Gigi Hadid; however, the fresh-faced Palestinian model was voted number one in the public poll, ultimately taking home the title of Model of the Year Reader’s Choice. Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner was the runner up to her pal in the same category.
