Moments before kicking off his music event at this year’s Coachella Festival, with performances by Jesse Marco, Iggy Azalea, Major Lazer, and Just Blaze scheduled, Alexander Wang published a short video trailer on Instagram announcing an upcoming collaboration with H&M.
The video shows the flashing lights of a sports stadium and the countdown clock of a basketball game—knowing that Alexander Wang’s womenswear is reputed for its athletic aesthetics, we wouldn’t be surprised if the designer’s new capsule collection for H&M will focus on sports-inspired apparel.
In the video trailer, the countdown clock underneath the “WANG X H&M” lettering stops at “11:06,” implying (we can only assume) that the capsule collection might be launched on November 6th.
The forthcoming H&M capsule collection will mark Wang’s first major collaboration with a mass-market ready-to-wear brand. More on this story as it breaks.
