Kerry Taylor Auctions, which specializes in the sale of rare and historical clothing, is auctioning an array of vintage garments as a part of its Passion for Fashion sale tomorrow. The auction will feature the finest pieces Kerry Taylor has come across over the past six months, including several garments by the late Alexander McQueen and in particular pieces from his controversial Highland Rape collection and Plato’s Atlantis, his last womenswear collection. Carven searches for a creative director…
Rumor has it that French fashion house Carven is in talks with designer Alexis Martial to fill its open creative director position. Martial, who is currently the creative director of Iceberg’s womenswear line, would replace Guillaume Henry, who left Carven earlier this year to take a spot at Nina Ricci. [WWD]
The U.K. loves Tay…
The Guardian has released its list of the top 100 most powerful people in U.K. media, and as expected, the CEOs of Google, Facebook, and Apple top the list in first, second, and third places, respectively. Less expected, though: Taylor Swift was awarded the top spot among female contenders. The pop star came in at 10th place. British media heavyweights Alexandra Shulman, editor in chief of British Vogue, and Katie Grand, stylist and editor in chief of Love magazine, also made the cut, at 93rd and 96th place.
