Peter Dundas Celebrates Emilio Pucci’s New Shades at the Italian Embassy in Paris

Marbled and gilded, not to mention lined with 18th-century art, Italy’s embassy in Paris made a fitting backdrop for the shiny happy people who joined Peter Dundas and Laudomia Pucci to toast Emilio Pucci’s new eyewear range with Marcolin last night. Downstairs, Natasha Poly, Anna Ewers, and Daria Strokous swirled around the salons in thigh-scraping Pucci minidresses. Upstairs, two long tables were set with roses by the thousands, and waiters served up shrimp ravioli and grilled sea bass. Maurizio Marcolin, Marcolin’s style and licensing officer, sat at the center of the action. When his seatmate expressed surprise that Pucci didn’t already have an eyewear collection, he responded on the contrary: They did, but Marcolin had managed to lure them away to their stable, which includes names like Tom Ford and Balenciaga. Dundas, who was flanked by Eugenie Niarchos and Poppy Delevingne on the other side of the table, wears a pair of prescription shades from the Italian brand LGR. As of now, there are no plans for Pucci eyewear for men. For one thing, Dundas is too busy making wedding dresses, not least of all for his big sis, who is getting married at home in Norway this spring. But never say never.
