Kicking off Paris Fashion Week last night, Coach brought the prom to Paris in the guise of a star-packed party, dubbed Coach Prom 2016 to celebrate the opening of the American heritage brand’s flagship store on the chic rue Saint-Honoré. For the swanky evening, the host Stuart Vevers transformed the stately Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild from historical manor to a high-school dance scene of yesteryear complete with streamers, vintage cars, a giant disco ball suspended above the dance floor, and an amplified live performance from iconic Debbie Harry AKA Blondie (“Who got everyone singing along to Call Me,” added Style.com/Arabia’s Managing Editor Caterina Minthe.), and a DJ set by Mark Ronson.
In true prom tradition, guests were adorned with flower corsages as they entered the doors and were then treated to a menu of bite-sized hot dogs, burgers, pizzas, mini candy apples, cupcakes, cookies, and donuts served in trophies. Attending the Coach Prom was actress Chloë Grace Moretz; model-actress Suki Waterhouse; and model, author, and muse Caroline de Maigret. Also seen kicking back on plush couches were singer Charlie XCX; Elvis’ granddaughter Riley Keough; model Edie Campbell; and stylist Catherine Baba.
