Cash & Rocket’s Miriam Aldainy and Selita Ebanks Help Raise Over US $1 Million for Africa

Saturday night, 35 supercars roared into Paris—and with them, 70 inspirational women hailing from the fields of art, fashion, design, and film who have bonded together over the course of four days in their desire to raise money for African charities via the fundraising organization Cash & Rocket. Team Maserati was the first to park its wheels at Place Vendôme ahead of the party hosted at the Valentino headquarters; the car was driven by team number nine, consisting of best friends Miriam Aldainy, the Nour Jensen creative director and founder; and Selita Ebanks, an actress, model, charity ambassador, and sometimes phoenix. Both were recently on hand for the launch of the Nour Jensen shoe line at Level Shoe District in The Dubai Mall.

“Who said Saudis don’t drive?” laughed Aldainy as she posed for pictures with the other drivers, including model Arizona Muse, Stylebop’s Leila Yavari, and model Ashley Graham.

While guests nibbled on delicious hors d’oeuvres—fresh sea bass, whipped truffles, and foie gras—the drivers shared stories from the road before calling it a night ahead of their 7am wake up call the following morning. The ladies started their road trip in London and have since driven through to Lyon, Milan, and will be celebrating their grand finale tonight with a gala in Cannes during the Film Festival. In Paris, the teams were already celebrating having raised over a million dollars.
