Army of 1

Each season, Doha Challah and Nisreen Darawish explore a new theme. For Fall 2016, the Army of 1 designers came up with a new-kid-on-the-block persona. “We’re not encouraging rebellion, but ‘rebels’ are true to their sense of style,” they noted following their presentation. In line with the brand’s athleisure aesthetic, the collection offered zip-up bombers in tech-mesh materials and separates featuring pixelated camo prints. The hero piece, however, was the supple, leather-like dungaree dress made with high-grade resin.

Last season, Dubai-based designers Challah and Darawish introduced prints to their contemporary lineup. This time around, the designers tried their hand at menswear, featuring 4 looks out of the 16 total. But by the looks of the leather-like tracksuit, this critic advises the designers to not spread themselves thin.
