Today marks the official start of New York fashion week and the seemingly endless rat race from show to show. So how do models prepare for a month of runways and towering stilettos? If you’re catwalker Diana Moldovan, you hit the treadmill…in heels. After all, the best of the best have taken tumbles—Agyness Deyn and Jourdan Dunn, to name just two—so why not practice staying upright by breaking a sweat? “I did the Issa show in London and Naomi Campbell was walking it and I took my first trip on the runway and I was embarrassed as hell because Naomi backstage was like, ‘Who fell? Who fell?’ And I was like, ‘Me.’ [raises hand],” Dunn told British Vogue. Our best words of advice: Fashion month is a marathon, not a sprint, so pace yourself out there.
