Prepare to pull out your pocket book to welcome a trunk load of Middle Eastern designers featured on Moda Operandi. Starting today, the luxury online retailer is unveiling collections from a slew of regional names.
The winner of the inaugural Style.com/Arabia – DDFC Fashion Prize, Hussein Bazaza, is among the designers making their debuts on the luxury e-commerce platform. Known for supporting emerging brands, Moda Operandi’s senior vice president of merchandise planning, Mary Chaim (who attended last season’s Fashion Forward) told Style.com/Arabia, “We are excited to introduce young talent Hussein Bazaza—the inaugural winner of the Style.com/Arabia – DDFC Fashion Prize competition last year.” She continued, “Personally, I am fond of working with new talent beyond the fashion they provide—that special storytelling behind each brand is what I love sharing with our customers.”

MADISO BY MADIHA MUZAFFER FALL 2016 (MAY 17TH)
Dubai-based, fine jewelry and accessories designer Madiha Muzaffer—behind her label Madiso—will unveil a collection of evening box clutches in exotic leathers. The bags are adorned with crystals and semi-precious stones and will be featured alongside statement necklaces available for pre-order today (May 17th).
HUSSEIN BAZAZA FALL 2016 READY-TO-WEAR (MAY 18TH)
Debuting on Moda Operandi is Style.com/Arabia – DDFC Fashion Prize winner Hussein Bazaza. The Lebanese designer’s Fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection features patterned separates, pleated metallic skirts, and lace gowns infused with whimsical motifs featuring unicorns, butterflies, and smiling suns. The collection will be available on the luxury e-commerce website from tomorrow (May 18th).
Speaking to Style.com/Arabia, the designer said, “It is flattering and exciting to be available on ‘the only place to pre-order the runaway’ and another step towards gaining international exposure.”
RAMI AL ALI FALL 2016 READY-TO-WEAR (MAY 20TH)
Dubai-based designer Rami Al Ali’s trunk show will further tighten the gap between his brand and an international clientele. Set to launch on May 20th, the trunk show will feature the designer’s Fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection of eveningwear gowns and column dress traced with metallic embellishments, beaded details, and 3D floral embroidery.
