Ahead of their New York Fashion Week runway show (set to take place today), Bahraini designers and cousins Sheikha Noor and Sheikha Haya Al Khalifa reveal a glimpse of their Noon by Noor Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection. In a conversation with Style.com/Arabia, the designers discussed the inspiration behind their offering, “We channeled modern femininity through fluid silhouettes, iridescent embellishments, and light textiles inspired by our recent travels,” they revealed. “We referenced sunset shades and ranunculus flowers from Bahrain, which we fused with hard textures and structured outlines from New York City,” they explained.

The sketch features a billowing dress complete with a high, embellished neckline, and is part of a collection that explores lightweight materials through sheer layers, delicate draping, and monochrome details. “The collection boasts a fresh color palette of pale pink, antique gold, salmon, white, and black,” the designers divulged. “Structured textiles in floral jacquard, micro lace, and linen offset a dreamy chiffon ranunculus print, while micro flowers, luminous blooms, and scattered sequins highlight the collection. Overall, it’s light and romantic with whimsical touches and romantic finishes,” they concluded.
