“Be cool. Be good.” More than a catchy company motto, this is the brand philosophy behind the footwear label founded by twins, Maxime and Alexandre Mussard (great-grandsons of the Hermès Founder, Thierry Hermès). Along with childhood friend Louis Felix de Fenoyland, the pair have launched a shoe and trainer humanitarian line that makes cool shoes to help children. For each pair of trainers purchased, a pair of shoes is given to children in need. But the twins go further than just handing out footwear—they work with local shoemakers in developing countries in an effort to boost the local economy and provide jobs in places like Brazil, Mozambique, and Columbia. Classic and sporty, the Portugal-produced trainers are decidedly elegant and are available in a multitude of colors and fabrics like cloth, leather, and suede that are 90% recycled. Today, treat yourself—and others, too.
