Architect and jewelry designer, Marc Deloche, saw his passion for jewelry grow over the years; first becoming a fervent collector and then turning into a jewelry designer himself with the launch his first shop in France in the year 2000. However, it’s this debut fine jewelry collection, which we first viewed during Paris Fashion Week, which has drawn our close attention.
His first collection comprises of only eight pieces. Currently one-offs, each ring, necklace, bracelet, or earring is dedicated to one of the four elements: earth, fire, water, and air.
From a menacing gold dragon that is creatively revealed via the twist of a handle, to a striking cornaline, garnet, and citrine tassel necklace invoking fire, today’s Treat of choice summons the earth in the form of this pair of elegant scarab earrings. Representing the rising sun in ancient Egypt and featuring an emerald pearl-beaded fringe, these earrings offer a striking variant on the tassel. Wear with a monochrome dress and hair either swooped up in a lofty chignon or nonchalantly thrown over your shoulder for a more irreverent style.
