Although it is difficult to draw trends from Haute Couture Week, one recurrent item from this season is the built-in cape—quite likely to be a hit in the Middle East for our love of all that flows and is layered. Last week in Paris, Elie Saab showcased a haze of silks and shimmery numbers and this design stood out as the audience’s favorite. We wager that this printed and intricately beaded silk gown will make an appearance on a red carpet within a few months.
