Wakim Zeidan initially launched “Nuqat” in 2009 and its modus operandi has since been to provide a platform for Middle Eastern creatives and essentially, shake up the industry. It has since grown to become the biggest creative conference in the region and is currently hosting the Kuwait Conference until November 19th. This year’s theme focuses on collaborations and invites guests to develop skills on how to better work with others. The conference facilitates 24 lectures from artists such as acclaimed Saudi artist Ahmed Mater, Saudi installation artist Abdulnasser Gharem, and the Publisher of Kalimat magazine, Dana Abdullah.
Meanwhile, 11 ongoing workshops invite participants to learn more about multiple topics, such as classic and modern Arabic calligraphy, how to celebrate the Arabic language both visually and linguistically, and the re-think of furniture design.
A live graffiti show will close the festival on Wednesday evening and will feature Monstariam and DJ Khaled Telp.
