While athletes from all over the world fly to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a number of models are also prepping for the 2016 Olympics opening ceremony. Set to take place on August 5th, the three-hour showcase will see Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen make a grand entrance at Rio’s Maracanã Stadium. It’s reported that the retired runway icon will enter the stadium to the Brazilian bossa nova jazz song, The Girl From Ipanema, performed by musician Paolo Jobim.
Victoria’s Secret angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima are also getting ready to rock Rio. The Brazilian beauties will become temporary reporters to discuss topics off the playing field, such as the native country’s food and culture. Meanwhile, Brazilian model Izabel Goulart has been spotted taking in the panoramic views ahead of the upcoming ceremony.
