Launching tomorrow at the Tashkeel art gallery in Dubai, the eighth edition of “Made in Tashkeel” will feature art works from Afshan Daneshvar, Ammar Al Attar, Azim Al Ghussein, eL Seed, Eman AlHashemi, Emma Parthare, Gail Reid, Harshseet Thukral, Jeff Scofield, Judy Shinnick, Kathryn Wilson, Kay Li, Khalid Mezaina, Manal AlDowayan, Natalia Lasso, Saif Mhaisen, and Sham Enbashi. Works on display throughout the summer will include digital photography, sculptures, installations, comic books, laser-cut fashion, printmaking, and paintings.
Established in 2008 by Lateefa bint Maktoum, the Dubai-based contemporary art museum runs three residencies each year and nurtures cross-cultural dialogue with other artists via its partner residencies (up to six a year) with the likes of Delfina Foundation London. Tashkeel also offers select artists studio facilities and international fellowships.
Visit the Made in Tashkheel exhibition from May 25th until September 1st 2016, from 10am to 8pm Saturday – Thursday and 10am to 5pm throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
