Lebanese artist Joëlle A. Kurdy will host her first solo art exhibition from May 10th until May 17th at the Paris-Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi in the presence of H.E. Dr. Zaki Nusseibeh, the Cultural Advisor at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. The exhibition titled “Wheel of Life” will showcase a series of pieces that boast her signature collage and paint technique. Kurdy works with a variety of media on canvas as a means of exploring human emotions and life experiences for the viewer to interpret.
The former makeup artist and entrepreneur has a background in makeup and body artistry, and opened the UAE’s first luxury beauty center in 1994. The self-taught artist developed her skills through private lessons, and has previously commissioned her beauty center’s space to host a series of art exhibitions and art classes.
